School Supply List

LMS School Supplies PDF

Purchasing school supplies at the start of the year can be both exciting and daunting. If you have trouble finding something from this list, don’t worry! We’ll help you here at school. The following supplies are recommended for all students in grades 6-8.

Supplies Needed for all Classes/Grades

  • 1 binder or accordion file (with space for each class)
  • 2 packs college ruled paper
  • 1 pack graph paper (for math classes)
  • 1 graph paper composition book (for science classes)
  • 1 pencil pouch
  • 3 boxes of pencils (Ticonderoga/sharpened preferred)
  • 1 box of ballpoint pens (blue or black)
  • 3 – 4 highlighters, different colors
  • 1 pack colored pencils
  • Headphones*
  • Calculator – Scientific (TI-30XIIS recommended)

*Many students prefer and use bluetooth headphones, but only corded headphones are allowed during state assessments (no bluetooth). Please keep this in mind if purchasing headphones.

Additional/Specialty Supplies

Some classes have additional supplies that are course/teacher specific. Teachers will communicate with their classes about these specific items in the first days of school, provide clear timelines of when those special supplies will be needed, and give you time to shop for or order supplies.

We understand that students may not have all their supplies in the first days of school and that’s okay! Critical supplies for the first weeks of school will be provided for students here at school so that everyone can start the year feeling prepared and successful. Throughout the year, our school store will stock school supplies for purchase as well. Watch for more details about the school store in future communications.

What if I need help or forget something?

We’ll help you! If you find you made it to school (yay!) and forgot something you need (uh oh!) there are lots of ways to get help. You can:

  • Ask a friend or classmate to borrow the item you need for the day.
  • Talk to your teacher and have them help you problem-solve.
  • Stop in the office and ask an adult for assistance.
  • Swing by the library and see Ms. Sanders for ideas or help charging your chromebook.
  • Visit the school store at lunch time to purchase the supplies you need.
  • Speak to your counselor about the issue and get their guidance and support.
  • Use a phone in the office to call home and get help from a parent.
  • Let any adult on campus know that you need help solving a problem and they’ll connect you to a solution or someone who can help you find a solution.
